Used tryptophan depletion to investigate the effects of reduces serotonergic neurotransmission in a healthy population and patients diagnosed with bipolar disorder in manic phase, fibromyalgia or migraine. Wrote the main thesis for my Clinical Psychology degree titled: “Impulsiveness is related to the neurotransmitter serotonin.” 1997 – 1998: Supervised by prof. Theodora Duka at the Department of Experimental Psychology, University of Sussex, I designed, collected and analyzed the data for my BSc main thesis titled: “A field study on the cognitive effects of ‘ecstasy’ (MDMA) on two frontal lobe related tasks.” Jun 1997 – Aug 1997: Research assistant for prof. Theodora Duka at the Department of Experimental Psychology, University of Sussex. Managed participants and collected data to find the effects of alcohol on frontal lobe functions and implicit memory.
